Connect Claude to Checks & Balances AI

Ask Claude about your company's strategy, settled decisions, roadmap and OKRs, and let it keep the roadmap current while you work. Claude acts as you, with the same access you have in your workspace.

What you need

  • A Checks & Balances AI account that belongs to at least one workspace.
  • Claude on any plan that supports connectors (web, desktop or mobile), or Claude Code.

Connect in Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

  1. Make sure you are signed in to claude.ai in your browser.
  2. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors. Find Checks & Balances AI in the directory, or choose Add custom connector and paste this URL:

  1. Sign in with your Checks & Balances AI account and approve access.
  2. In a chat, turn the connector on from the tools menu and ask, for example, “What is our strategy?”

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner can add the connector once for everyone.

Connect in Claude Code

Run this in a terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and sign in:

claude mcp add --transport http checks-and-balances https://checksbalances.ai/api/v1/mcp

Codex, Cursor and other MCP tools use the same URL and sign in the same way.

Change

  • Add a roadmap feature
  • Update a roadmap feature
  • Add a progress note

Nothing is deleted through Claude; a Cancelled feature stays in the roadmap history. Changes are recorded under your name, like “Maya via Claude”, and an admin can undo a feature Claude added or switch off changes from AI tools for the whole workspace in Settings → Connections → External AI tools. Claude can move a feature up to In Review; only a finished commit marks it Complete.

Privacy and security

Sign-in uses OAuth, so Claude never sees your password, and you can disconnect at any time from Claude's connector settings. Claude only receives what a tool returns, from workspaces you belong to. We do not receive your Claude conversations, only the requests Claude makes to these tools.
